Prof. Laurencia Villalba was Head of department of Vascular surgery from 2018-2024. Founder and Clinical Lead of the Venous Thromboembolism service for the ISLHD in NSW. Member of the Court of Examiners. She has received awards for her research on VTE management including the Graham Coupland Medal for outstanding contributions to the future of surgery.
