VERBAL PRESENTATIONS

IMPORTANT

Default screen format is 16:9 (4:3 presentations will not be compromised)
The default aspect ratio for slides is 16:9 (wide screen) rather than 4:3. This is to reflect the fact that the standard template in the latest version of PowerPoint (Office 365 for Windows, Office 2016 for Mac) is 16:9 (wide screen) – which is in line with the format of most screens today (TVs, iPads, tablets, etc.).

However, please note that the older 4:3 (non-wide screen) format will be supported and your presentation will not be compromised in size or resolution if you choose to stay with this format.

An ANZSVS Conference themed PowerPoint template is available for download. This template is not compulsory.

ONSITE PRESENTERS
Presenters participating onsite will be required to bring a copy of their PowerPoint slides to upload at Speakers' Support.

It is mandatory that you check into the Speakers' Support  at the Conference well before your presentation to upload your slide deck and to ensure all audiovisual checks are completed.

Presentations will not be available in lecture theatres unless they have been checked in at the Speaker Support Room

VIRTUAL/REMOTE PRESENTATIONS
It is our strong preference that presenters attend and deliver their presentation in person as the format greatly benefits attendees. However, virtual presentations will be accommodated if necessary. You must notify the Conference Organiser via email at vascular@surgeons.org by Monday 30 September 2024 if you intend to present virtually or via pre-record, regardless of your initial submission preference. Failure to confirm will result in your presentation being removed from the program.

For presenters who have been approved for virtual/remote presentation by the Conference Organiser, we kindly request that you provide a pre-recording of your presentation/s by Friday 4 October 2024 so the recording can be checked through accordingly.

Remote presenters can either have their pre-recorded presentation played or present live (virtually). If you prefer to present live, please ensure you inform the AV operator in your Zoom call and we will use your pre-recorded presentation only as a backup if we experience any technical issues.
When uplaoding your presentation, please ensure you select 'virtual' rather than 'pre-recorded' if you intend to present live.

We ask that you be available online for questions and discussion following your presentation. Your presentation recording must not exceed the allocated time and the aspect ratio of your PowerPoint slides should be set to 16:9. Please provide your pre-recorded presentation in MP4 video format.
